Distribution & Inventory Specialist

This position is located in Itasca, IL.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Audit internal processes and communicate issues and KPI statistics to related managers
  • Create and maintain SOPS for evolving warehouse processing related activities
  • Train 3PL members on new processes/workflows as needed
  • Strategize and recommend efficiency driven process improvements related to inventory control, daily operational procedures and communication with stakeholders
  • Investigate and solve potential inventory discrepancies
  • Ensure Accounting records are properly submitted for customs related information, shipping vendor invoices and other inventory/warehouse related
  • Act as liason between Keyence management and 3rd party warehouse management to track performance, ensure project completion and daily activities are complete
  • Escalate inventory issues or failures in daily operational processes
  • Problem solve carrier related issues with urgency to prevent interruptions to daily shipping operations
  • Arrange for export of shipments
  • Supply orders and maintenance for WH consumables
  • Support the warehouse teams, as needed, which may require on the spot trouble-shooting for IT support, lifting, pushing, pulling
  • Lead team meetings driven by KPIs, whilst communicating expectations and deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by Management 


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Organized: Prioritize tasks, activities, and plans to complete duties and projects on time
  • Analytical: Identify the underlying principles and problems in order to resolve abstract challenges
  • Dependable: Job requires being reliable, responsible, and accountable for completing the duties and projects on time
  • Customer Service: Must have strong service-centric inclination with strong written and verbal skills
  • Moderate Excel skills
  • Bachelors Degree Required
