Entry-Level Test and Repair Technician
The Test and Repair Technician role is primarily responsible for repairing customer devices and ensuring that our trial and demo units function properly before shipment. Receiving incoming shipments, inventory control, processing testing information, and updating our databases are a key part of keeping the Engineering Service Group running efficiently. Work for a test and repair technician is performed at our main distribution warehouse in Itasca Illinois.
Responsibilities and Duties

Perform repairs on products using written procedures.

Test precision electronic products for proper functionality and accuracy.

Clean and re-package products and ready for shipment to customers.

Enter accurate information for receiving, inventory, and stock transfers into our database.

Perform ordering and shipping duties.

Proactively identify areas to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
-
Communication – must have both excellent verbal and written skills to communicate ideas and technical information.

Attention to detail – all processes from inventory to repair requests need a high level of attention and detail.

Time management skills – must have the ability to prioritize and organize work efficiently.

Experienced using hand tools.

Computer skills – the daily use of computers in previous job experience is needed for this position including Microsoft office programs and custom software applications.
Requirements

2 Year Technical Degree preferred.

Relevant experience preferred.

Ability to lift 30 – 70 lbs. boxes.
